Yoga Poem
I was a seed.
a tiny one. hard shell.
soft inside.
aware of something more.
Yoga came to me
Like the sun.
It cracked my shell.
Curious I peeked out.
a little.
The sun was bright.
unknown.
I played in its shadows.
I. a tender shoot.
eager but fragile
Exploring the forest.
I found a tree.
that spoke to me.
She reached out a limb
As if to say.
there. there
Don't be afraid.
Let the sun in!
She was like the rain.
I grew taller and stronger.
When the strong winds blew.
My tree was there for me.
Other trees began to speak
to me.
Big Ones. overwhelming.
But inspiring me to grow.
One day I began to hear
Seeds whispering to me.
This could not be.
I'm just a sapling.
What do I know?
Then my first tree
Said to me
"Teach what you know!"
I discovered I could learn
from seedlings as well as
the trees.
I was part of the forest.
One wise tree told me.
about a part of the forest.
far way.
Many suns and moons
came and went.
I pondered.
Could I make the journey?
Planning. doubts. fears.
excitement.
all mixed together.
My favorite tree.
said, "Yes. together
we would go."
Now we have come
To that place far away.
more beautiful than I imagined.
The trees here radiate
joy.
I am part of this forest
too.
Wow!
